Regular monthly board meeting January 6th @ 7pm Shoreline mosque– The ICBW Committee has a regular Board meeting in January. As always guests are welcome but they need to let the board know by sending an email to email@example.com in advance of the meeting.
The last two notices have been sent in a letter to all the congregation members a few weeks ago. If you have not received this letter it could be that we don’t have your mailing address. Please send an email in that case with your correct address to firstname.lastname@example.org or you can let Begzudin ef. Jušić know about it.
Medzlis 1 West January 28 -29, 2017 Annual meeting. Our dzemat is honored to host representatives from 13 dzemats in the Western US for the Medzlis 1 annual planning session. We are expecting around 25 participants to come to Seattle. Each of them is giving their time away from their families to participate in the collective cause for all our Medzlis. The purpose of this meeting is create incentives and make decisions that drive better collaboration, results and stronger bonds between dzemats. While the core meeting of this group is closed, our dzematlije will have two opportunities to meet these representatives. We will have a meet and greet on Friday as guests arrive, and a mevlud on Saturday after the conclusion of their meeting session. You will be able to meet all the representatives at those times. We want to leave a lasting, positive impression on our guests, so we will need our dzematlijes’ full participation and help with food and transportation to and from the airport, to the hotel and to our dzemat. Details will be sent in follow-up emails.
ICBW Annual meeting February 11- Skupstina. The founders of our community in Seattle faced many challenges as new immigrants, with little English and low paying jobs. However, they were able to build our community and this dzemat. Today we have a thriving dzemat, elhamdullah, with many members who have finished degrees from accredited Universities and with solid workplace experience. We are looking for ways to activate these valuable members; it is only natural that they take over as leaders by joining the ICBW Board. Our current Board’s desire is that our next elected Board helps us deliver even greater results for our members. Hence, we are asking our dzematlije to nominate other members who have strong ethics, character, education and experience as candidates for the ICBW Board. Individuals can also nominate themselves. With experienced, well-rounded individuals, who know how to be successful leaders and team players, inshallah Allah s.w. will bless us with success. To learn more about Board positions, send an email to email@example.com and request to talk to anyone on the Board or our President. More details will be mailed in January.
Annual Membership reminder: We would like to remind our members who didn’t have a chance to pay their membership for 2016. For 2016, our annual membership fee is $200. For families with welfare needs or low incomes, it is $140. Checks can be mailed to ICBW, 20001 25th Ave NE, Shoreline, WA 98155. Note: ICBW membership fee for 2017 is $250 and $160 for low income.
Once again thank you for your support. If you have questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact the President of the ICBW, Elvira Vojnikovic, via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or send the Board an email at email@example.com
